The North Harbour Masterplan covering the area north of the town around the existing Tesco store consists of a number of development plots within the masterplan presents opportunities for new residential units, hotel/serviced apartments and a multi storey car park.

A new civic square will be linked to the promenade with a new arrival space around the existing railway station that enhances the sense of origination and connectivity to the town centre.
